The CSS strives to provide opportunities of the Leaders of tomorrow while cultivating the personal, professional and academic success of students at the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria.

Our Values

Opportunity: The CSS is dedicated to creating exceptional opportunities for students and connecting them with the resources they need to succeed in their careers. The heart of what we do is create opportunities for our students to grow inside and outside of the classroom to enhance their time at UVIC. We pride ourselves on our engaging events that can be enjoyed by BCom students and business professionals alike. 

Community: We aim to build an inclusive and supportive community where every BCom student feels valued. Our reach extends beyond Gustavson students to the broader Victoria area, strengthened by support from the local business community. The CSS is actively involved in boosting charity initiatives and putting on events to help with local initiatives.

Connection: At the Commerce Student Society, we are committed to fostering meaningful connections between students and industry professionals, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world experience. Our events and activities are designed to create opportunities for networking, collaboration, and foster life-long connection within the Gustavson community.

Growth: Our society is dedicated to advancing both the personal and professional growth of our members by offering distinctive experiences and leadership opportunities.Through our events and inter-club activities we provide space for students to learn and grow into the future leaders of the world.
