My name is Jada Parlee, and I am beyond excited to be stepping into the role of Executive of Professional Development for the 2024-2025 school year! I am going into my third year in the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business commerce program. This year will be my second year in the Commerce Student Society, previously working under the Events Portfolio as a member of the GSBC team.

The Professional Development Portfolio is in charge of events that help connect students to their future careers. The portfolio hosts events such as the Vancouver Office Crawl, Victoria Office Crawl, Finance Lunch, Career Fair, and various other workshops. The goal of these events is to help connect students to industry professionals, explore potential career options, and expand students’ skill sets. The Professional Development Portfolio is working towards helping every BCom student develop their professional skills and reach their future career goals. I am beyond excited to be working alongside my team this year to create impactful events for all students. I am looking forward to the future of the Professional Development Portfolio and the whole CSS!
